Today is the first of what I hope to be a weekly deal, basically it’s called Call to Blog, where I basically feature a guest post or I’ll write-up something I haven’t really talked about personally for one reason or the other. Basically dig down into a topic, and that is today, leaving Guilds and moving servers. That is why today’s first entry into what I hope to be many of Call to Blog is called Ravencrest.
What is Ravencrest you question? Well it’s a World of Warcraft server, in the US and was the very first server I ever started on. I started playing back in BC days, not long after the release, about a month or so.. it was October. Anyways, my very first toon was a Night Elf Druid named Staraptor (a pokemon name yes) and I level to maybe over that 4 months I played to level 16. As I’ve talked about before with another podcast called Call To Auction, which I review not too long ago in fact. I must re-track a statement I made in that post stating that there where no other WoW Gold making podcasts out there. Well just as I made the post about a day after it was published, I found out about another pod cast called Power Word Gold.
So as you may guess, I found the website, which you can visit here, I must say not the greatest of looking websites but this isn’t about the web site design, this is about the podcast. Now at the time of writing this the pod cast has been out a few days and I’ve listen to it about 4 times already. One of the things I really enjoy doing is listening to WoW related content while I’m playing, as such either when I’m making gold myself or simply just leveling or farming. Read more »
Well I suppose it’s not really a shock when I think about it, reading over on MMO Champion today I saw a news post from today, that we wont be getting BlizzCon in 2012, which sort of sucks. I recall last year October having this discussion with my brother about going and we both decided that this year we would go.
I guess the reason is you know this whole ’2012′ ordeal, the end of the world. The truth about it is simply a matter if I believe that the world will come to an end in December of this year. Read more »
Today was just a short video. I haven’t been working as much as I would really care to on the videos and the site. I totally forgot about Majin Planet’s Birthday this year. I still have so much work to do on that site. I am starting to slowly think I should leave it as it is but maybe it is time to bring it back to the old school routes. Just finding the best and easiest video viewing engine is much harder then I can take on myself.
Also I talk about Star Wars while showing some PVP on my new level 85 Hunter I rolled on Darkspear a month before Patch 4.3 came out. Enjoy Read more »
Been a good week since I’ve posted anything new, today I want talk about a subject that is some what old news now. That is the LFR exploiting that people did in the first week of the patch. Pretty much it comes down to the best guilds in the world where cheating the system in order to get the best gear they could so that when the following week (this week) they could have a higher leg up in doing heroics modes. If everything went well, Patch 4.3 official went live on servers at 11am PST. First thing is to check what add-ons for updates, but your best to login turning off all your add-ons. That is the best way to not have to worry about any issues. The season for PVP starts next week, and if you need to get ready for the PVP season, you may want to check out my post I made earlier today.
Lastly I want to show you all the latest trailer for Patch 4.3. I’ll have to say my opinion after watching it once is, simply that.. once. It’s not very epic like and I recall back in Wrath of the Lich King, the patch 4.3 Fall of the Lich King was pretty epic and the build up to it was great. Maybe that’s not fair, seeing as everyone knew who the Lich King was from Warcraft III and no one pretty much cares about Deathwing and what his Hour of Twilight is all about, even now I hear rumors that he’s pretty much a pawn of the old gods; Really?
