As I’ve talk about before, you can even start a blog about bowling pins. Probably the most popular blog are transformation blogs.

What are transformation blogs?
Basically a transformation blog is a blog about somebody who makes a change in their life. The most common ones are weight loss. However there can be lifestyle changes or personal changes. Changes can range from: weight loss, diet changes, moving, even family. 9 out of 10 times when someone starts a transformation blog, they end up getting large number of hits. Tips on writing

writingtips

I’ll be the first one to tell you that I’m not the best at crafting a master piece of writing. I’d say a good number of people don’t know how to write correctly. Some might argue that I can’t talk about this subject or give tips because I’m not a good writer, so I shouldn’t be talking about it. However I still know the difference between a good and bad writer.

The art of writing
It’s no secret when it comes to good writing. However there is a difference between good writing and great writing. Some would say that the difference between the two are writing styles, something that makes you jump out of your seat or maybe something that has value. I personally believe the difference is the voice of the writer.

There are some keys to remember when you’re crafting your posts. If you follow these simple tips you too can [...] Continue reading >>

Blogging choices

Post on May 11, 2013 by
bloghosting

So you’ve decided to start a blog? Well you’ve come to the right place. First as you’ve been reading in the past posts about social networks, a niche topic and content vs. design. Now where going to start with the basics of a blog and that’s choosing your software. For many people, choosing what path to go can make or break our success and goals.

Hosting
There are two things I remember when you’re starting a blog in choosing where to host your blog. You have two choices a self-hosted blog or using a blog host. If you choose self-hosting you’ll have a huge range of opinions not only in blogging software but plugins you have access too.

For now were going to discuss blog hosts. First you have two choices either wordpress.com or blogger.com. I personally have used both. Blogger is the best in terms of being simple. I personality like word [...] Continue reading >>

Social media

socialmedia

Probably one of the biggest aspects to web design, developments and content writing is social networks. Why is it important and why does every blog should be incorporated? A simple answer would be traffic. Social media are very important and is an important aspect to any bloggers career. For now I’m going to cover only the basics.

Google Plus
Google Plus is I would say the new social media network on the block. As you can guess the run by Google and to be honest Google+ is pretty hard to use for your average user. There are many aspects of Google+ that actually are very beneficial to your website. One of those is the Google plus pages.

Reddit
I’m going to have to say that red is probably one of the most successful social media networks out there. Considering all things when I put a post-up on reddit I instantly get traffic. I found [...] Continue reading >>

The niche

Post on May 9, 2013 by
niche

It’s something many bloggers in any filed talk about and that is your niche. The question is why is it important why do we need to apply it to our blog and our writing. For many bloggers out there, they spend I would say a good part of their everyday posting trying to find their niche or how to apply it.

I’m not going to lie a niche was something that I always had an issue trying to get into. I think it’s simply because I didn’t do the research to understand what it meant. Before I even started to write for this blog, I spend four long days trying to figure out which niche I wanted to do. I know how it works, look at my two websites Majin Planet and HunterMastery.com Both website are a niche website and they for their time where successful for me.

Basically to sum [...] Continue reading >>

Every word counts

Post on May 8, 2013 by
wordcount

Probably the most important thing when you’re writing a blog is to maintain the word count. I found the best word count is 500 or fewer words. The reason for this is because most people don’t enjoy reading more than 500 words. If you look around at some of the most read blogs, you’ll notice that they push about 500 to about 700 words at max. I push to about 500 words with 350 being the minimum I’ll write.

I’ve been the kind of person in the past, who likes to write a whole lot I’m talking two thousand or more words. The truth is when I’m writing a blog post I focus on the details and examples. Anything that best describes the point I’m trying to get across. Just take a look and you can find many articles with a whole lot of bloat that never really get to [...] Continue reading >>

Choose Your Name Wisly

Post on May 7, 2013 by
domainame

Sometimes I stop and ask myself. Am I doing everything I can do to bring the best content I can? I’m sure everyone who comes by and reads might ask themselves a few things. First off I want to talk about the name of the site; I want to talk about how a website name and this includes the domain can make or break you’re blog.

As I’ve talked about design and content the name is the most important aspect of a website. Sure if you have crappy content, that will kill it; or poor design. I can tell you this first hand because I’ve had some pretty horrible domain names and such the websites went nowhere and as a result two things happened.

  1. You don’t really care about the website anymore.
  2. You just wasted your time and everyone else’s.

So what can you do?
Well you can do what some people will say, don’t [...] Continue reading >>

Design is King

Post on May 6, 2013 by
designking

I would think the biggest question I’ve asked myself I the last ten years has been, what is important? I’ve talked about content and how it’s important to the site, no matter what type and goal you have in mind. There are always factors that change the outcome in the design process of creating and running a website.

For me, I’ve been working my butt off and running HunterMastery.com has shown me that there are some key factors you need to be successful. First it takes a lot of time, writing the content you’re readers read is only half the battle. Even know as I’ve talked about content is king it’s not everything. If you have amazing content but a poor designed website that’s hard to navigate or even read you’ll be a ghost town in moments.

Design is King
The key factors in being a web designer aren’t so much the aspect [...] Continue reading >>

Starting Over is Good

Post on May 5, 2013 by
startingover

I sometimes tell myself that starting over is the worst thing you could ever do. As things stand I’m 30 years old, turning 31 this year. I have yet to go to college and get the degree that I know I can get what degree is that? Well Web Design; I’m going to Baker’s College online starting June 20th 2013th and I’m really thrilled about it. I can’t wait to get the papers proving everything that I know. It makes me feel really good to know that I’m going to finally have what I always wanted.

Now you might be asking yourself, not having a degree makes my content any less validate or important? Yes and no. For some people they only want to know what someone has to say when they have some paper saying they know. Well for me I have real experience in the field and been running [...] Continue reading >>

Why Content is King

Post on May 4, 2013 by
contentisking

I’ve said this a million times and I’ll say it again here, content is King. Here at Neckar Unrivaled.com I’ve been working days, months heck years on this way of life. To be honest with you it’s something that takes a life time to master.

Don’t get me wrong here as I know someone out there will say otherwise and will be quick to tell me otherwise. The god honest truth is once you know something it changes. That’s the name of the game when it comes to writing content for a website or blog.

About five years ago when I first came up with the idea of a central website for all my websites I was running at the time, I decided that the one thing I needed to do was create not just a portal but a portal of information. With that I learned many things and this comes [...] Continue reading >>

Starting a Online Community

Post on May 3, 2013 by
001-community

The year was 1996, the inter web as we know it was slowly forming and becoming what it is today. To be honest it was a hobby, it’s still a hobby even today for me. I enjoy writing, I enjoy helping others and most of all I enjoy having a website. Over the years I’ve tried a number of times to give it all up, to just stop running my websites.

I’ve had many of them, so of which I just will leave to the birds as they were failures. However I don’t fully see them as such. I see them as moments in time when I learn something. I’ve learned so much over the last 17 years that it’s finally all come together to this, my official, official name brand online; Neckar Unrivaled.

What is Neckar Unrivaled?
Neckar Unrivaled is means two things, first Neckar which means: “A river in western Germany [...] Continue reading >>
